This book was a really interesting sci-fi horror-esque read. I cared about the characters, the science side of it was interesting, and I had moments where I was cringing.
I listened to this on audiobook and it had a very cinematic feel to it in places which worked for me.
I don't know what else I can say about this without spoiling anything other than I would recommend it. So I'll continue below.
There are only two things I really had significant issues with in the book, One being the masturbation and sex section. Like it just felt really out unnecessary and awkward. Also the end I just had to suspend my disbelief. Like Melanie becomes defacto leader and keeps the kids from eating Miss. Justineau without having a language with them. And really like Miss. Justineau wants to live totally alone with just hungry kids and no e-blocker. I don't know maybe one day they strike out to find some but eh I'm just going to try to suspend my disbelief.
