Magic Bites
I've heard a lot of good things about this series so I decided to pick it up because I was in the mood for some urban fantasy. In general I liked it, I liked the characters, I found the mystery aspect interesting. However, some of it fell really flat for me, I felt like there were chunks of somewhat annoying dialog/inner monologue. Mostly just cases of show me don't tell me.
However since I've heard it gets better, I'll give it another book and reassess.
