Call The Midwife

Call the Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times - Jennifer Worth, Nicola Barber

I put this book on hold so long before I got it that I'd forgot I put it on hold. That being said I really enjoyed this book.  I find the birthing business and the way it's changed through the years fascinating and it was so interesting to hear this perspective. This book mostly covers the authors experiences when she was in her twenties but she sprinkles in little interesting facts about how things have changed through time in regards to hospitals, midwifery and such. The stories are captivating, the material is interesting, and if the subject matter is at all interesting to you I'd suggest it. I personally want to pick up the other books in the series and maybe catch the tv show. The only reason I didn't give this book a 5 star is I don't think it's going to stick with me as much so I gave it a 4.5.
