Where They Found Her

Where They Found Her - Kimberly McCreight

A dead baby is found in the woods in a quiet university town. Molly, is the only available reporter to cover the story and happens to also be the newest reporter.

This book throws a bunch of characters into this mix really quickly in this book.  While I think this can be a sloppy way to do a mystery thriller, just throwing a million red herrings in, McCreight did it well.  I really enjoyed the ride this book took me on and the way everything worked together.  I really enjoyed the writing and voice, as well as the different ways the story was told.

This book wasn't a 5 star book for me but I explaining would totally be spoilers so,

Okay so I feel like everything wrapped up a bit to well and happy.  Like yes her marriage falls apart, Sandy ends up estranged from her mom, Steve life is a mess, but it all seemed to end on such an upbeat note. I don't know it maybe I'm a mess of a person for feeling like with all that it wasn't bad enough but the tone just seemed off.
