Reading progress update: I've read 123 out of 415 pages.
I made it through the first of the three sections of this book. The first section was on the industrial food chain following corn specifically. I have a weird reading thing with Pollan, while I really like the this and Botany of Desire, I have a really hard time getting started with them. Once I'm through that starting bit I get really into it and read it quickly, but starting is somewhat laborious for me. It just seems strange to me because I'm very interested in the subject matter and don't notice a difference in writing between the 'getting started' point and the 'can't put it down' point.
